The title race

Manchester City (92) need to win their last two games to retain the title after beating Burnley, with the final matches coming against Leicester and Brighton. The finish line is in sight after 12 straight league wins – but Liverpool (91) are still poised to pounce on any slip-up.

The top-four battle

Tottenham (70pts) are in third but missed the chance to seal a top-four place as they lost to Bournemouth. Chelsea (68pts) hold a two-point advantage over Arsenal (66pts) after earning a draw at Manchester United (65pts).

The three London clubs are all in European semi-finals. A maximum of five English clubs can qualify for the Champions League, so if (for example) Spurs and Chelsea win European trophies but finish fifth and sixth, then the fourth-placed side would drop into the Europa League.

Tottenham fixtures: 12 May Everton (H)

Arsenal: 5 May Brighton (H); 12 May Burnley (A)

Chelsea: 5 May Watford (H); 12 May Leicester (A)

Manchester United: 5 May Huddersfield (A); 12 May Cardiff (H)

Chasing the Europa League

Watford can claim the third Europa League spot by winning the FA Cup – but the home defeat to Wolves has put their opponents in pole position for seventh, which was then strengthened by defeating Fulham in their penultimate match. Everton and Leicester could also still grab a place in Europe for next season.

Wolves (57pts) Liverpool (A).
Everton (53pts) Tottenham (A).
Leicester (51pts) Man City (A), Chelsea (H).
Watford (50pts) Chelsea (A), West Ham (H).
