Liverpool have been warned that they won't be receiving any charity from their former manager Rafael Benitez when they travel to Newcastle United for what could prove to be a crucial Premier League fixture on Saturday May 4.
The Reds' title destiny is currently not in their own hands after rivals Manchester City won 2-0 at neighbours United ensuring that the defending champions are a point clear at the summit with both sides having three matches remaining.
Jurgen Klopp's side have the opportunity to go top again when they resume action at home to already-relegated Huddersfield Town at Anfield on Friday but their next Premier League fixture at St James' Park comes in between their two Champions League semi-final legs against Barcelona.

Benitez himself has already claimed that the game against his former club leaves him in a predicament , telling the Newcastle Chronicle: “If we win, they will say: 'Oh, [he should be helping us].' And, if you lose: 'Oh, he was not giving everything.'”
However, Toon legend Alan Shearer reckons that the trip to the North East could prove a potential banana skin for Liverpool and insists Rafa the gaffer's Reds past won't enable Jurgen Klopp's side will be in for an easy ride.
He told Premier League Today: “It is going to be very difficult for Liverpool to win the Premier League title now.
“Manchester City have won 11 games on the spin now and I think they will go onto win it, they will probably win all three of their remaining games.

“That in itself tells you the standard of football that we have witnessed over this season.
“To have to win their last 14 games with a total of 98 points to win the title and Liverpool will do the same shows you."
Shearer added: “The one game that you would look for Liverpool is Newcastle because it is in between the Champions League semi-final.
“And I keep hearing people saying that well Rafa Benitez will want Liverpool to win the league.
“Believe me, Rafa will not want to give Liverpool anything.”
