'Title charge starts now'- Arsenal fans in agreement as major Granit Xhaka injury update emerges

Arsenal supporters have been unable to contain their excitement amid claims that Granit Xhaka is back in full training.

Xhaka has been out for almost three months after sustaining a nasty knee injury during the 3-1 victory against local rivals Tottenham Hotspur back in September.

The Swiss captain collided with Brazilian frontman Lucas Moura before limping off in the dying embers of the game.

Mikel Arteta's side have produced a number of solid displays in Xhaka's absence, however, they will be desperate to get him fully fit ahead of their hectic winter schedule before midfield duo Thomas Partey and Mohamed Elneny eventually depart to the Africa Cup of Nations in the coming weeks.

Arteta himself confirmed that the 29-year-old is slowly getting back to speed, with his rehabilitation reportedly 'heading in the right direction.'

"Granit is progressing well, he is doing all the right things and he's feeling better but no more news on that", the Spaniard said in his pre-match press conference.

"It's very positive because the evolution he is doing is great. He is partially training with the team and he is heading in the right direction."

Now, Gunners supporters took to social media to voice their excitement after Arsenal expert Jeorge Bird claimed that the former Borussia Monchengladbach star is now back in full training.

Here is what a select few said on Twitter.

@Iouisssssssssss : "Second half of this season we’re doing a title charge"

@3cbPerformance : "Excellent news, thank you."

@ansarahmad_ : "Great. We desperately need some control in games in mf."

@ekpo_simon : "Give him at least 15mins on Monday Arsenal. Need him fully fit against West Ham."

@arun_munagala : "TITLE CHARGE STARTS NOW."

@RahulNaren3592 : "West ham at home at this point is good. We may not do well away given how raucous that crowd is."

@KiwiDaveGkamp : "That’s very good news."
