Titans WR A.J. Brown receives invite to NFLPA Rookie Premiere

Newly drafted Tennessee Titans wide receiver A.J. Brown has been invited to this year’s NFLPA Rookie Premiere.

247sport.com’s Allan Bell took to Twitter with the news on Friday morning.

Expectations are high for Brown as he heads into his first season at the professional level.

He’s even been pinned as an early Offensive Rookie of the Year candidate by some, including Pro Football Focus’ Michael Renner, who placed Brown at No. 8 on his Top 10 list.

“Brown is another receiver who should get a good deal of schemed targets right away because of his YAC ability,” he wrote. “Brown broke 40 tackles on 159 catches over the past two seasons at Ole Miss. The Titans don’t have another receiver in the starting lineup that can replicate that sort of production.”

If Brown’s effectiveness in college translates to the NFL, he’ll quickly become one of quarterback Marcus Mariota’s favorite targets.

Brown had a successful career with the Rebels, recording 189 receptions for 2,984 yards and 19 touchdowns, also earning first-team All-SEC honors twice.
