Titans WR A.J. Brown impresses in rookie mini-camp

Tennessee Titans second-round pick A.J. Brown is already living up to the hype as the team goes through rookie mini-camp this weekend.

The rookie wideout was the most impressive of the bunch on Saturday, and even reeled in a one-handed reception.

He says it wasn’t on purpose, though.

“I just try to catch everything,” he explained. “It was a little out of reach, and I stuck a hand up and surprisingly it stuck. I am not Odell (Beckham) or nothing like that.”

Brown has been projected to make an immediate impact for the Titans in 2019 by many analysts, and has even been chosen as an early candidate for the year’s Offensive Rookie of the Year award.

Here’s a quick look at Brown in action.

Brown has a solid frame at 6-foot-1, 226 pounds and just as strong of a work ethic to match.

Coach Mike Vrabel noted that Brown has been spending some extra time with newly added former AAF quarterback Logan Woodside.

All players have to do something that make them feel like they are ready to go,” Vrabel said. I am sure A.J. has developed that because he was a productive receiver throughout his career at Ole Miss.”

He was the last rookie to leave as well, still working on drills as the rest of the players made their way to the locker room.

It’s clear to see Brown is off to a great start, and he’ll look to continue that upward momentum through camp and into the upcoming season as he looks to make a name for himself within the Titans receiving corps.
