Cody Parkey’s return to the NFL was short-lived after the Tennessee Titans waived the former Chicago Bears kicker on Saturday.
The Titans added veteran kicker Ryan Succop to the team’s 53-man roster coming off injured reserve. Succop is available to make his season debut against the Carolina Panthers in Week 9 after missing Tennessee’s first eight games.
Parkey played three games for the Titans where he went 3-for-3 on field goals, but he doinked an extra point in his second game as a Titan vs. the Los Angeles Chargers.
Bears fans remember Parkey not-so-fondly for his double-doink missed field goal against the Philadelphia Eagles, which ended their magical 2018 season.
