Titans vs. Patriots: CB Jason McCourty inactive for wild-card playoffs

The New England Patriots will be without starting cornerback Jason McCourty for the team’s wild-card playoff game against the Tennessee Titans on Saturday at Gillette Stadium. He was limited all week with a groin injury and was also inactive in Week 17.

The Patriots inactives are as follows: McCourty, DL Byron Cowart, QB Cody Kessler, TE Ryan Izzo, RB Damien Harris and offensive linemen Korey Cunningham and Jermaine Eluemunor.

With McCourty out, the Patriots are likely to turn to cornerback J.C. Jackson on the outside and slot corner back Jon Jones on the inside. Aside from McCourty’s injury, the team’s inactives are to be expected. Safety Terrence Brooks will play despite dealing with limitations all week with a groin injury.

The Titans will be without a weapon of their own. Receiver Adam Humphries will not play — he was ruled out on Thursday with an ankle injury.

New England kicks off against Tennessee at 8:15 p.m.
