Titans vs. Colts: Staff picks, predictions for Week 13

The Tennessee Titans and Indianapolis Colts are both entering their Week 13 contest with a head of steam following victories in their previous outings last week.

Tennessee finally snapped its three-game losing streak in Week 12, albeit with an ugly victory over the Carolina Panthers. The Titans will now look to do something they haven’t done all season long: win consecutive games.

And they couldn’t be in a better spot to do so, as the host Titans have yet to lose a game inside Nissan Stadium this season, with the team sporting a 4-0 record there.

The Colts, who won the previous meeting against the Titans in Week 5, have won three in a row and are thinking playoffs and division title, as they hold the No. 7 seed in the AFC and currently sit in second place in the division.

Sportsbooks and the majority of experts believe the Colts will win this game. Now, it’s time to see what our staff thinks.

Shaun Calderon: 3-8

Mike Moraitis: 3-8

Mike and Shaun have rebounded in a big way recently, with Shaun picking correctly in each of the past two weeks while Mike is on a three-game winning streak.

Let’s see if we can keep the good times rolling.

Colts linebacker Zaire Franklin poked the bear following the first meeting between these two teams by calling himself the “King Slayer”.

Because of it, I think we see a vintage Derrick Henry game on Sunday.

That performance, combined with another impressive outing from DeAndre Hopkins, ends up propelling the Titans to their second straight victory.

Final score prediction: Titans 24, Colts 20

While the Titans should be able to run the football against the Colts’ bottom-seven run defense, dealing with Indy’s pass-rush, which ranks sixth in sacks, will be a different story.

Henry finds some room to run, but not enough to overcome a poor effort from the Titans’ passing attack, which will see Will Levis struggle thanks to relentless pressure from the Colts’ pass-rush.

On defense, the Titans get early pressure on Gardner Minshew but will see that fade as the game progresses, which allows Minshew to dice up the secondary, putting the Colts over the top.

Final score prediction: Colts 20, Titans 17
