Titans take OT, WR in Draft Wire’s three-round mock

If the Tennessee Titans want to put quarterback Will Levis in the best possible position to succeed in Year 2, the team must beef up its offensive line — and more specifically, left tackle — and wide receiver corps.

In a recent mock draft by Draft Wire’s Curt Popejoy, he has the Titans doing just that with the team selecting Penn State left tackle Olu Fashanu and North Carolina wide receiver Devontez Walker with their first two picks (there’s no third-round selection because the Titans don’t have one).

“The Titans offensive line is a mess so getting Fahsnau is an ideal pick,” Popejoy wrote — and he couldn’t be more spot on.

The Titans had the worst situation in the NFL at left tackle in 2023, with Andre Dillard giving up a league-high 12 sacks and Jaelyn Duncan surrendering nine, tied for the fourth-most in the NFL.

When it comes to left tackle, the Titans have two options to hit a home run with their first-round pick. Fashanu is one of them, and the other is Notre Dame’s Joe Alt, who went fourth overall in Popejoy’s mock.

At 6-foot-2 and 200 pounds, Walker has ideal size, but he’s also got the speed and explosiveness to be a deep threat at the next level. He checks every box Tennessee needs.

However, I’m not sure I see him as an early Day 2 pick as things stand today, although that could very well change in the months ahead.
