Titans-Steelers game being postponed after coronavirus outbreak

After the NFL's first COVID-19 outbreak, Sunday's game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Tennessee Titans is being postponed.

"The Steelers-Titans game, originally scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m. ET, will be rescheduled to allow additional time for further daily COVID-19 testing and to ensure the health and safety of players, coaches and game day personnel," the NFL said in a statement.

"Details on the new game date and time on either Monday or Tuesday will be announced as soon as possible."

ESPN's Dianna Russini first reported that the league was postponing the game and considering all options for a new date.

The postponement comes after a fourth Titans player learned Wednesday morning that he had tested positive for the coronavirus, per the NFL Network. The rest of the tests conducted on Tuesday reportedly came back negative.

The Titans were forced to shut down their facilities on Tuesday after three players and five staff members tested positive for the virus after Tennessee's Week 3 game against the Vikings. Due to the NFL's contract tracing protocols, the Vikings have also shut down their facilities.
