Titans sign former Patriots WR Cody Hollister

The Tennessee Titans aren’t done adding depth at the wide receiver position ahead of the 2019 season just yet.

On Monday, it was announced the team has signed former New England Patriots wideout Cody Hollister.

Hollister spent three years of his college career at Arkansas, where he recorded 27 receptions for 342 yards and one touchdown.

The 6-foot-4, 209-pounder originally signed with the Patriots after he went undrafted in 2017. He was placed on the team’s practice squad and then signed to a futures deal after the season.

In 2018, he was put on New England’s non-football injury reserve list with a back problem.

With the move, Hollister joins a group of receivers that includes Adam Humphries, Corey Davis, Tajae Sharpe, Taywan Taylor, A.J. Brown, Devin Ross, Darius Jennings, Cameron Batson, Kalif Raymond, Isaac Zico and Anthony Ratliff-Williams.

While players like Adam Humphries and Corey Davis are expected to play a key role at the position, it will be interesting to see the way the competition behind them shakes out as the team prepares for the upcoming season.
