Titans safety Kevin Byard has shown steady improvement over recent seasons

Tennessee Titans safety Kevin Byard just keeps getting better.

Over a three-season career, Byard’s Pro Football Focus ratings have steadily risen.

His tackling grade (80.6) improved by 7.7 points, while his run defense grade (89.0) went up 3.7 and his overall grade (88.4) jumped by 3.1 points.

Byard took to Twitter to react to the news, and said he took the release as a compliment.

Byard finished out the 2018 season with 90 tackles, two sacks, eight passes defensed and four interceptions.

On his career, he totals 235 tackles, three sacks, 28 passes defensed and 12 interceptions.

The Titans will hope for continued upward momentum from the star safety as they look to make a playoff run in 2019.
