Titans’ Ryan Tannehill makes NFL Top 100 Players of 2020 list

Just in time for his 32nd birthday on Monday, Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill has made the NFL Top 100 Players of 2020 list.

Tannehill, who is making his first appearance on the list, landed at No. 68.

Tennessee acquired Tannehill in a trade with the Miami Dolphins in 2019 to be the backup to then-starter Marcus Mariota — and it was a move that paid huge dividends for the Titans.

Tannehill posted his best season as a pro after taking over the starting quarterback job in Week 7 and helped turn the Titans’ season around after a 2-4 start.

The Titans went 7-3 down the stretch of the season with Tannehill under center, ultimately leading to a playoff berth and a run to the AFC Championship Game.

Tannehill finished with 2,742 and 22 touchdowns to six picks in 12 games (10 starts), and he led the NFL in passer rating, yards per attempt, yards per completion, and he finished with the third-best completion percentage.

His 90.2 overall Pro Football Focus grade was tied for the third-best among all signal-callers.

The Titans rewarded Tannehill with a four-year, $118 million extension earlier this offseason that secures his spot as the franchise’s quarterback for the foreseeable future.
