Titans’ Ryan Tannehill, Joe Burrow have something in common: Small hands

One of the running jokes to come out of the 2020 NFL Combine on Monday was about Joe Burrow and how he has small hands, and it’s something he has in common with Tennessee Titans quarterback, Ryan Tannehill.

After Burrow’s combine measurements were taken, it was reported that his hands came in at a small nine inches, which just so happens to be the same measurement as Tannehill’s from 2012.

Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff also shares the same size.

The internet had a lot to say afterwards, which included questioning Burrow’s future viability to be a successful NFL quarterback, albeit mostly in jest.

The soon-to-be No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft had some fun with it all, though.

This is one of the great things about the NFL Combine. The subject of hand size can be blown up into this big deal, even if it’s as a joke.

As for Tannehill, he’s doing just fine with his small hands.

The former No. 8 overall pick finished the 2019 season with the top passer rating, was third in completion percentage and he won Comeback Player of the Year en route to taking the Titans to the playoffs.

And you can bet your bottom dollar that the Cincinnati Bengals aren’t going to care about Burrow’s hand size and will still gladly take him with the first pick in April’s draft.
