Titans’ Ryan Tannehill ‘a long shot’ to be active in Week 10

Tennessee Titans backup quarterback Ryan Tannehill is reportedly not expected to play in Week 10 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Tannehill, who is questionable, is “a long shot” to be active as he continues to recover from a high-ankle sprain. If he can’t go, second-year signal-caller Malik Willis will be the backup to rookie quarterback Will Levis.

Tannehill sitting wouldn’t be a surprise. The veteran was only able to get in two limited sessions during the week and was spotted with a heavily-taped ankle during the open portions of practice.

Tennessee officially made the switch from Tannehill to Levis this week after two impressive performances over his first two starts. Head coach Mike Vrabel noted Tannehill would be No. 2 behind Levis once healthy.

Levis will look to continue the solid start to his career when the Titans travel to Raymond James Stadium on Sunday to take on the Bucs.
