Titans’ rookies not happy with Madden NFL 21 ratings

Tennessee Titans 2020 NFL Draft picks, offensive tackle Isaiah Wilson and running back Darrynton Evans, weren’t exactly thrilled about their Madden NFL 21 ratings.

Evans, who was taken by the Titans in the third round, was given a 69 to start, while Wilson, who was taken in the first round, sports a 65.

Both players took to Twitter on Monday to share their displeasure with the ratings.

Being the good Dad that he is, left tackle Taylor Lewan tried to cheer up his new teammates, but also disagreed that the ratings were disrespectful. Wilson also said he planned on changing them when he purchases the game.

There is somewhat of a bright side to both of these ratings, though.

For Evans, he is tied for the second-highest speed rating (92) among rookie running backs, and Wilson actually earned a higher rating than his training camp competition at right tackle, veteran Dennis Kelly.

We recently compiled a list of eight Titans who most deserved a higher rating, but we didn’t include rookies because it’s hard to argue for or against a player’s rating when they’ve never taken a regular season snap in the NFL.

Thankfully, the game makes regular updates to player ratings, so Wilson and Evans will have a chance to improve theirs as the season progresses.
