After the Texans originally agreed to terms on a one-year deal with defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan earlier in the offseason, it turns the team has pulled out of the deal (H/T Texans Wire).

The Texans were reportedly uncomfortable with Jernigan’s injury history and will look elsewhere for help. Houston lost star defensive tackle D.J. Reader during the offseason to the Cincinnati Bengals in free agency.
