Titans reportedly out of race for WR Antonio Brown

The Tennessee Titans are in the market for a wideout, but it looks like they won’t be buying in on the Pittsburgh Steelers’ Antonio Brown.

According to a report from ESPN’s Dianna Russini, the Titans are out of the race for Brown. The New Orleans Saints probably won’t the next home for the receiver, either.

There are a number of factors in why the Titans may have chosen not to pursue Brown.

The primary concern from multiple teams was his off-the-field behavior, which head coach Mike Vrabel openly voiced concern about during the early stages of the combine.

The other was the asking price, which was presumably at least a first-round draft pick.

Even if the team does pass on Brown, there’s still a number of other free agent wide receivers on the marker, as well as promising prospects in the 2019 NFL Draft.

One of these is Marquise “Hollywood” Brown, who is actually cousins with Antonio Brown and impressed across the board at the combine.

It will be interesting to see where general manager Jon Robinson and the Titans go now at the position with the mid-March free agency period just days away.
