Titans release safety Damon Webb

The Tennessee Titans made one safety the highest paid in the history of the position on Wednesday, and released another the next day.

On Thursday, it was announced the team had released safety Damon Webb.

The 23-year-old was originally signed by the Titans as an undrafted free agent out of Ohio State in May of last year. He was signed to a three-year, $1.71 million deal before being cut at the beginning of the regular season.

He was later re-signed to the practice squad and put under a futures contract in January.
