Titans RB Derrick Henry’s foot surgery ‘went well’ on Tuesday

Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry had surgery on his foot on Tuesday, and the procedure reportedly went off without a hitch.

According to ESPN’s Dianna Russini, Henry’s surgery “went well” and he will now begin the recovery and rehab process, one that will take a significant amount of time.

As far as exactly how long it’ll take isn’t exactly know yet. Some reports have suggested he could be out for the rest of the season, while another suggests Henry could be back in six to 10 weeks.

Let’s not even talk about the former possibility, but if the latter timeframe holds up, Henry could be back anywhere between Week 14 and 18.

So, the good news is that if the Titans can weather the storm — they have a three-game lead over the Indianapolis Colts, as well as the head-to-head tie-breaker — they’ll have Henry back for the playoffs.

But first, the storm: the Titans begin life without Henry in Week 9 against the Los Angeles Rams on “Sunday Night Football” at SoFi Stadium.
