Titans’ Rashad Weaver trained in Krav Maga before NFL draft

NFL pass-rushers explore every means necessary in order to improve at their craft, and Tennessee Titans fourth-round rookie Rashad Weaver is no different.

Ahead of the 2021 NFL draft, Weaver trained in the martial art of Krav Maga, which specializes in self-defense and hand-to-hand combat.

Los Angeles Rams defensive lineman Aaron Donald and Chicago Bears edge rusher Khalil Mack are among the most notable names to take part in this kind of training.

Here’s more information about it, courtesy of KravMaga.com:

Built on simple principles, instinctive movements, and practical techniques, Krav Maga was made the official self-defense system of the Israel Defense Forces. To this day, it remains a favorite among law enforcement agencies, military personnel, and anyone interested in making the transformation of a lifetime. That’s right — anyone.

Whether you want to take back your peace of mind, try a new workout, or get your child interested in a hobby that is fun and beneficial to their development, Krav Maga Worldwide training is the answer.

Weaver is expected to serve as depth for the Titans during his first season, but he could garner significant snaps off the bat if fellow edge rusher Bud Dupree isn’t 100 percent for the start of the season.

We’ll see just how much Krav Maga has helped Weaver when the Titans put the pads on and begin training camp later this month, with players set to report on July 27.
