Titans’ Rashad Weaver spotted on crutches, gets carted out of stadium

Tennessee Titans 2021 fourth-round pick and outside linebacker, Rashad Weaver, sustained an ankle injury during the 25-16 win over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday that appears to be at least somewhat serious.

The injury occurred during the third quarter. Weaver needed help off the field and was later carted off from the sideline. The rookie played 17 snaps, including 11 on defense, and recorded two tackles.

After the game, ESPN’s Turron Davenport spotted Weaver leaving the locker room on crutches, and he was then carted out of the stadium. It is unclear exactly how serious the injury is at the moment, but it doesn’t look good.

The Titans are now dealing with multiple injuries at the outside linebacker position.

Derick Roberson was ruled out with a knee injury ahead of Sunday and has now missed two games in a row, and Bud Dupree, who was active in Week 3, didn’t play a single snap and was available for emergency use only.

With the injuries to Weaver and Roberson, and with the Titans apparently managing Dupree’s reps, Tennessee was down to just two outside linebackers, Ola Adeniyi and Harold Landry.

Thankfully, both were able to finish the game unscathed and stepped up in a big way, combining for two sacks and eight QB hits in the winning effort.

With all the uncertainty at outside linebacker at the moment, the Titans will need to make at least one move in the coming week to add more help.
