Titans QB Marcus Mariota sets franchise record for most passes without an interception

For as many blunders as Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota has had in the beginning of the season, there have also been some bright spots.

We mentioned earlier in the week that Mariota was the only quarterback in the league to start all four games in 2019 without an interception.

But it doesn’t end there.

Mariota has also now set a franchise record for most passes without an interception (169).

Kerry Collins previously held the record of 161 consecutive passes without an interception in the 2008 season.

With this, Mariota also has the league’s longest active streak of passes without a pick.

After last week’s performance against the Atlanta Falcons, in which Mariota was 18-of-27 passing for 227 yards and three touchdowns, things appear to be trending upward for the signal-caller.

It’s important he continues performing at this level, considering he’s in the fifth and final year of his rookie deal with the Titans.

This season, he has completed 74-of-119 of his passes for 933 yards and seven touchdowns.

Mariota and the offense will look to prove they can show consistency as they return home to face the Buffalo Bills (3-1) at noon CT on Sunday.
