Titans QB Marcus Mariota gave mostly good looks in Tuesday’s OTAs

The approaching 2019 season is a pivotal one for Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota as he enters the fifth and final year of his rookie deal.

The signal-caller has receiver many mixed reviews on his performance throughout OTAs thus far — for whatever that’s worth still so far ahead of the regular season.

Mariota gave a lot of good looks on his Tuesday showing.

He started off the practice in a strong way, connecting with receiver Taywan Taylor on an impressive 50-yard reception.

He also threw some solid passes to wideouts Adam Humphries, Cameron Batson, Tajae Sharpe, Corey Davis, and tight ends MyCole Pruitt and Anthony Firkser throughout the day.

There were also some misses, though, like his overthrown pass to a wide-open Pruitt.

Here’s a small glimpse of what Mariota looked like on Tuesday from the team’s Jim Wyatt.

There is only so much stock we can put into showings like these from Mariota right now, as there’s still plenty of time in between now and the start of the 2019 season — when things will really start counting for the signal-caller as he looks to prove himself as the Titans’ quarterback of the future.
