Titans players share heartfelt memories of Jurrell Casey after trade

The Tennessee Titans made the decision to part ways with veteran defensive lineman Jurrell Casey on Wednesday, sending him to the Denver Broncos in exchange for a seventh-round pick.

It was a hard move for fans to understand, but cap space seems to be the driving force, considering that Casey did carry a hefty salary.

Casey has been with the Titans since 2011, when the team selected him in the third round of that year’s draft.

After spending that much time on a roster, a player’s departure has a big impact on the team.

Just seeing some of the reactions from his now-former teammates, Casey was a one-of-a-kind leader who left a lasting impression, especially on younger players.

Crazy this photo was taken just a couple years ago. The locker Room has changed a lot since then, the leadership from all of these guys on this stage helped change a culture of an entire franchise. The city of Nashville and I will always cherish and miss you. @tattedmonster99 and I got into it at least once a year on the field or the weight room but we’re always good within an hour or so. I will always have love and respect for you JC. Marcus was an incredible person and was the hardest worker in the building. First one in and last one out, truly one of kind. @delaniewalker82 took me in the day I got to Tennessee and always made everyone around him better. Easily one of my favorite teammates of all time. @orakpo98 without you brother I wouldn’t have developed as fast as I was able to without you testing me every day as an elite pass rusher. @kb31_savage we gotta hold it down and keep this team going in the right direction! #Family #NoBadDays @titans

Seeing Casey suit up in Denver in the upcoming season will undoubtedly be a weird sight, but this may have ultimately been the best move for both teams.
