Titans players react to Derrick Henry suffering foot injury

The Tennessee Titans suffered a brutal blow on Monday morning, as running back Derrick Henry suffered a foot injury during the Week 8 win over the Indianapolis Colts that will require surgery.

The timelines have been all over the place early on. First we heard it might be season-ending, then we got a glimmer of hope that his absence could be anywhere from six to 10 weeks, which would mean he’d be back before the playoffs.

Whatever the case may be, the Titans will be without their superstar back for a lengthy period of time. That obviously was a tough pill to swallow for fans and Henry’s teammates alike.

The Titans have begun making moves to find a fill-in. The team has inked veteran and Hall of Fame back Adrian Peterson to the practice squad, with the intention to elevate him to the active roster.

While that’s certainly a start, we expect the Titans to make at least one more move, whether it be through trade or free agency.
