If you followed my work throughout the offseason, you know I’m a big believer in Tennessee Titans 2023 first-round pick, Peter Skoronski.
It didn’t really matter to me whether Skoronski was considered a tackle or guard, I just wanted Tennessee to take someone who was obviously a blue-chip prospect along the offensive line.
One of the things I consistently emphasized over the spring was that there aren’t many offensive linemen who enter the league as technically sound as Skoronski already is at the age of 22.
While we haven’t reached Week 1 just yet, the Northwestern product is already proving that statement to be true, and one can only assume he’ll continue getting better with age and experience.
What’s impressive is Skoronski holds his own on every single play. Even when he technically doesn’t win the rep, he’s always right there battling, which very seldom leads to ugly reps.
For example: Tennessee’s rookie lineman was on the field for 25 offensive snaps against the New England Patriots in preseason Week 3 and only hit the ground once, according to Ben Fennel of CBS Sports.

As silly as that sounds, that’s a very impressive thing for a player who lives in the trenches — and that’s especially true for a rookie.
Skoronski’s contact balance is a severely underrated part of skill set.
As I stated in several of my breakdowns pre-draft, you can definitely beat the former unanimous All-American, but it’s rarely going to be an easy rep to win because he hardly ever beats himself or puts himself in vulnerable positions.

Skor received an impressive overall grade of 70.5 for his 54 offensive snaps this preseason and allowed just one pressure while also not accounting for a single sack or penalty over that span.
