Titans owner Amy Adams Strunk says possibility of Texans ever getting Oilers colors is a ‘hard no’

Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt made a bold comment last week, saying the team should receive the rights to the Houston Oilers throwback uniforms.

“Thank you NFL,” he wrote in response to social media post from the league wishing him a happy birthday. “I’ll check the mail for my present. (Gift idea hint: Get the Titans to give us the rights to the Houston Oilers throwback uniforms).”

According to Titans controlling owner Amy Adams Strunk, who was recently asked about Watt’s words by writer Paul Kuharsky, that won’t be happening.

And it’s no just a “no,” it’s a “hard no.”

Watt can dream, but it’s clear the rights to the Oilers colors will remain in the possession of the Titans for years to come.
