Titans OT Isaiah Wilson’s court date pushed back to 2021

Tennessee Titans offensive tackle and 2020 first-round pick Isaiah Wilson was originally scheduled to appear in court on October 7 after being arrested for DUI back in September, but that court date has now been moved back to next year.

According to Brinley Hineman of the Tennessean, Wilson’s court date has been pushed back to February 1, 2021, which is six days before Super Bowl LV.

That means that the Titans should have Wilson for the remainder of the season, and any punishment he might incur likely won’t come until next year.

While that’s good for the short term, the Titans probably would have been better off getting things out of the way this season, as Wilson isn’t expected to have much, if any impact on the field during his rookie campaign.

It has been a rough start to Wilson’s tenure in Nashville. Not only was he arrested for the DUI, but he also has been on the Reserve/COVID-19 list since September 6, his second stint on it. He has yet to make his Titans debut.

Earlier in the week, Titans head coach Mike Vrabel said that it was possible Wilson could return to practice this week, but of course the team has to get past the outbreak of COVID-19 it is experiencing first in order to actually get back into their building and start practicing.
