Titans open up mandatory minicamp on Tuesday

The Tennessee Titans have returned to St. Thomas Sports Park to begin mandatory minicamp today.

OTA workouts came to a close last week, and this is the last event of the team’s offseason schedule.

When minicamp ends, players will be able to take a breather until training camp begins toward the end of next month.

One important thing to note as the Titans head into this phase is that rookie wide receiver A.J. Brown will be present, but won’t be taking part in team drills.

He pulled up on a route in a recent practice and suffered an apparent hamstring injury.

While it appears to be nothing serious, it seems the Titans are taking precautionary measure to avoid it from possibly becoming that way before Brown has the chance to see any real action later on when the season gets going.

It also wouldn’t be surprising if veteran defensive tackle Jurrell Casey and cornerback Adoree’ Jackson sit out of the team drills as well as they have in the past.

With tight end Delanie Walker still recovering from last season’s injury, odds are he’ll be relatively limited, too.

Select players and head coach Mike Vrabel are all set to meet with the media later in the afternoon.
