Titans open preseason as underdogs to Eagles

The Tennessee Titans are no stranger to being the underdog, so having the odds stacked against them in their first preseason matchup of 2019 is nothing new.

According to oddsshark.com, the Philadelphia Eagles are favorites in Thursday’s game by a point spread of (-4). Other places like Bovada had the Eagles favored by (-3.5), while the lowest amount was by (-3) on BetNow.

The Titans won the last contest between the two teams in dramatic overtime fashion with a Corey Davis touchdown that gave Tennessee the 26-23 victory in Nissan Stadium on Sept. 30 last year.

The Eagles won the last game on their home turf, 43-24 on Nov. 23 back in 2014.

This stands as their only recent win over the Titans, though, as Tennessee has won four of the last five clashes with Philadelphia.

As the all-time series currently stands, the Eagles lead, 7-5-0.

For what it’s worth, the Eagles also have the advantage of playing at home at Lincoln Financial Field in what is overall a meaningless game.

It will be interesting to see how things shake out when the action begins tomorrow at 6:30 p.m. CT.
