Titans offense has a chance to come alive against the Chiefs

The Tennessee Titans have had more than just simple struggles on offense this season, and that was highlighted by the benching of quarterback Marcus Mariota against the Denver Broncos earlier this season.

Ryan Tannehill has been more efficient in his place, completing 84-of-117 passes for 980 yards, with six touchdowns and four interceptions since taking over in the middle of Week 6’s game.

In last week’s 30-20 loss to the Carolina Panthers, Tannehill was 27-of-39 passing for 331 yards, with one touchdown and two interceptions. He was also able to be a factor on the ground, recording a rushing touchdown of his own.

And this week could be a big one for Tannehill and the Titans offense.

The Chiefs have allowed 12 touchdowns by opponents in their last four contests, and at least 23 points in all but one of those games.

The Titans have scored 70 points in four games, with one of those resulting in a shutout by Denver. The team has had 20 points or more in the last three matchups, though.

With this being a weakness for Kansas City, it will be crucial for them top consistently put points on the board, which should be even less of a problem with Patrick Mahomes back at quarterback.

It will be interesting to see how the action shakes out as the Titans and Chiefs are set to kick off at noon CT on Sunday in Nissan Stadium.
