Titans now even bigger favorites over Browns for Week 13

UPDATE: Overnight, the spread has gone down, as the Titans are now five-point favorites over the Browns for Week 13. The over/under also dipped, dropping to 52.5, per BetMGM.

The Tennessee Titans entered the week as hefty favorites over the Cleveland Browns ahead of the Week 13 game at Nissan Stadium, but has anything changed since then?

Well, actually it has. The Titans, who were 5.5-point favorites earlier in the week, are now 6.5-point favorites over the Browns, according to BetMGM. The over/under, which was originally set at 54.5, has gone down.

Spread: Titans -6.5

Money Line: Titans -275 / Browns +220

Over/Under: 53.5

Both the Titans and Browns come into this game on a roll of late. Cleveland has won its last three contests and four of five, while Tennessee has won its last two games and three of four.

With the Titans and Browns sporting an 8-3 record, each team is right in the thick of things in the crowded AFC playoff race. Tennessee sits in first place in the AFC South and owns the No. 3 seed, and Cleveland sits in the No. 5 seed as it trails the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC North.

The Titans ruled out three players on Friday, including cornerback Adoree’ Jackson and tight end Jonnu Smith, with Smith was the real surprise from that pair. Jackson has yet to suit up this season due to a knee injury.

Tennessee has other injury concerns, though. Star defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons saw a downgrade in practice participation from Thursday to Friday, and left guard Rodger Saffold did not practice all week. Both are listed as questionable for Sunday.

For the Browns, they also ruled out three players ahead of Sunday, including cornerback Denzel Ward and wide receiver KhaDarel Hodge. Ward in particular wasn’t expected to play at the beginning of the week, but is a big loss for Cleveland’s defense nonetheless, as he is the team’s No. 1 corner.

The Titans and Browns are set for kickoff at noon CT on Sunday in a game that could have major playoff seeding implications down the road should Tennessee relinquish first place in the division in the weeks to come.
