Titans’ Mike Vrabel on tornado cleanup: Put down your phones and help

Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel is never one to mince words and voiced an understandable frustration about people taking photos of the tornado damage in Nashville rather than helping to clean it up.

Vrabel was a guest on NFL Network’s “Good Morning Football” and was asked how people can help with the recovery efforts in the area.

The Titans head coach was right to the point, saying that people need to stop taking pictures and start helping with the actual cleanup.

“They can get out and start to clean up instead of taking pictures like I see people doing,” Vrabel said. “Put your phones down and pick up branches”

It’s amazing that this even needs to be said, but clearly Vrabel has seen this problem and is calling it out. Good on him for doing so.

The people of Nashville need help in more ways than one, and simply taking pictures instead of lending a hand is not one of those ways.

Speaking of lending a hand: the Titans Foundation and owner Amy Adams Strunk announced on Wednesday that a $1 million donation would be made to assist in the recovery process.
