Titans’ Mike Vrabel: ‘No issue’ with Ryan Tannehill, expected back on Tuesday

Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill was noticeably absent from the team’s first padded training camp practice on Monday, but head coach Mike Vrabel says there’s nothing to worry about.

Vrabel spoke to the media after practice and while he didn’t give an exact reason as to why Tannehill was absent, he said there is no issue with the signal-caller, who is expected to return on Tuesday.

We can all breathe a sigh of relief now. It looks like Tannehill was just getting a rest day.

With Tannehill out, backup quarterbacks Logan Woodside and Cole McDonald were able to get some extra reps.

McDonald in particular was up and down during practice, as he threw a pair of picks but also looked “sharp” in 7-on-7 red-zone drills, according to ESPN’s Turron Davenport.

First INT of camp goes to DB Kenneth Durden who picked off Cole McDonald during team period. McDonald was pressured from the right side. Durden got a 2nd INT in end zone 7 on 7 jumping another McDonald pass. Other than the INT, McDonald was sharp in end zone 7 on 7. He drilled a TD pass to TE Parker Hesse between two defenders and ended the period with a corner end zone throw that Kristian Wilkerson caught over Johnathan Joseph.

The Titans will hit the practice field for their second padded session on Tuesday.
