Titans’ Mike Vrabel confirms Rashad Weaver will be out awhile

The Tennessee Titans notched a big victory over the Indianapolis Colts in Week 3, but it didn’t come without some injury woes to the offense and defense.

The most important of the bunch was the injury to wideout A.J. Brown, who is reportedly considered week-to-week after coming down with a strained hamstring against the Indianapolis Colts.

But the most serious of the injuries suffered on Sunday occurred to outside linebacker and 2021 fourth-round pick, Rashad Weaver, who reportedly suffered a broken fibula.

While Vrabel didn’t confirm the exact injury Weaver suffered or his timetable for return during his Monday presser, he did say that the Pittsburgh product would be out awhile.

Weaver had played just 12 snaps the past two weeks, including 11 in Week 3, but his injury will no doubt put the Titans in the market for another outside linebacker to shore up their bench.

Meanwhile, the 23-year-old is set to address an off-the-field issue next week, as he has a preliminary hearing on Oct. 5 for an assault charge he’s facing that stems from an alleged incident involving a woman back in April.

Through his attorney, Weaver has denied the allegations from the criminal complaint that claims he “grabbed her by the throat and pushed her to the ground, where she ultimately hit her head” outside of a bar on April 18.
