Titans’ Marcus Mariota is only QB to start each game this season without a turnover

Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota hasn’t received a lot of praise in the fifth and final year of his rookie deal.

His two performances ahead of Sunday’s 24-10 win over the Atlanta Falcons were dismal, and the team will hope to see some consistency from him at this point.

But one positive thing Mariota does have going for him right now is the fact he doesn’t have a single turnover over four starts. It’s important to note the Titans offense has been largely conservative on the pass, and that he’s also had some inaccurate passes that could have been intercepted.

Over four games in 2019, Mariota is 74-of-119 for 933 yards with seven touchdowns.

He was 18-of-27 for 227 yards and three touchdowns against the Falcons. That was his best game since Week 1 against the Cleveland Browns, when he was 14-of-24 for 248 yards and three touchdowns.

In the losses against the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Indianapolis Colts, Mariota completed 42-of-68 passes for 458 yards with just one touchdown.

Looking at those stats, it’s easy to see just how all-over-the-place the quarterback has been this year.

Mariota will look to continue improving and solidifying himself as the quarterback of the future when the Titans face the Buffalo Bills in Nissan Stadium on Sunday.
