Titans make roster moves, promote WR Cody Hollister to active roster

The Tennessee Titans promoted wide receiver Cody Hollister to the team’s active roster on Saturday, ahead of Sunday’s matchup against the visiting Kansas City Chiefs.

The former Arkansas Razorback was originally signed by the Titans as a free agent in May, and reeled in nine receptions for 123 yards and a touchdown in the preseason.

Before joining Tennessee, Hollister spent two seasons with the New England Patriots on both the practice squad and injured reserve.

The move indicates that a doubtful Corey Davis probably won’t be taking the field for the Titans tomorrow, meaning that Tannehill will be relying on the likes of Tajae Sharpe, Adam Humphries, A.J. Brown, Kalif Raymond and Hollister.

In order to make room for the move, the Titans also waived offensive lineman Aaron Stinnie.

The Titans and Chiefs are set to kick off at noon CT on Sunday in Nissan Stadium.
