Titans make 8 roster moves in total on Wednesday

The Tennessee Titans made even more roster moves beyond cutting rookie quarterback Cole McDonald and agreeing to terms with quarterback Trevor Siemian and tight end Geoff Swaim.

While the team officially announced the moves involving McDonald, Siemian and Swaim, they also revealed that running back Dalyn Dawkins, tight end Parker Hesse and wide receiver Nick Williams have been cut.

In corresponding moves, Tennessee also agreed to terms with running back Marcus Marshall, and receiver Krishawn Hogan.

Marshall, who was signed by the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent in 2019, has never played in a regular season game.

Hogan has played in 10 games over the course of his career — two in 2017 with the Indianapolis Colts and eight as a member of the New Orleans Saints in 2019 — but has just one catch for four yards.

This adds new wrinkles to some of the team’s competitions. Siemian now becomes a new option at backup quarterback, while Swaim has the potential to land the No. 4 tight end role. Marshall and Hogan will be vying for one of the bottom spots on the depth chart at their respective positions.
