Titans make 12 roster moves ahead of Week 9

The Tennessee Titans made 12 roster moves on Saturday afternoon ahead of the week’s matchup with the Chicago Bears.

One of the most notable of these was moving punter Brett Kern, suffered a wrist injury last week against the Cincinnati Bengals, to Injured Reserve. The team signed veteran punter Ryan Allen, who has seen time with the Atlanta Falcons and the New England Patriots, to take his place.

Kern is expected to be out for at least three weeks.

Here’s a look at what else went down on Saturday:

  • Wide receiver Cameron Batson, defensive back Breon Borders, running back D’Onta Foreman and defensive lineman Teair Tart promoted from practice squad to 53-man roster.
  • Cornerback Tye Smith placed on Injured Reserve for the short-term.
  • Outside linebacker Wyatt Ray and long snapper Matt Overton elevated from practice squad to active roster. Both players will return to the practice squad next week, in compliance with the NFL’s rules surrounding COVID-19.
  • Titans placed Tucker McCann on the Practice Squad/Injured list, signing former University of Tennessee punter Trevor Daniel to the practice squad.
  • Offensive lineman Daniel Munyer waived from the 53-man roster.
  • Cornerback Adoree’ Jackson will be unavailable for Sunday’s contest, as he has yet to be activated from the “Designated to Return’ list. Expect more information on this Wednesday.
