Titans-Lions final score from Week 15 made NFL history

The Tennessee Titans trampled the Detroit Lions in Week 15, beating them by a final score of 46-25 — and in the process, both teams made NFL history.

According to Scorigami, that final score had never happened in the history of the league until Sunday, and it is also the 1,062nd unique final score to occur all-time.

A lot had to happen in order to get there. The Titans had to give up a safety and convert a two-point conversion after a Ryan Tannehill touchdown, while Lions kicker Matt Prater had to miss an extra point following a touchdown run by running back D’Andre Swift.

This is the second time this season in which the Titans have achieved a unique score, as their 42-16 win over the Buffalo Bills was also a first.

Back in Week 12 against the Indianapolis Colts, Tennessee won 45-26, which was the second time in league history that score had happened. The last time occurred back in 1959 when the Baltimore Colts beat the Los Angeles Rams.
