Titans limp into bye after getting crushed by Pats: Everything we know

The Tennessee Titans will go into a much-needed bye on a two-game losing streak after dropping their Week 12 contest to the New England Patriots, 36-13, in Foxborough on Sunday.

Tennessee actually had its best game on the ground all season, but even that area had trouble on Sunday, as Dontrell Hilliard and D’Onta Foreman both lost fumbles, with one of them leading to points for New England.

The Titans tallied four turnovers in total, with Ryan Tannehill, who got off to a hot start before going silent, accounting for the one of them via an interception in the fourth quarter that came in the red zone.

But the mishaps didn’t stop there.

Tennessee had drops, a missed field goal and extra point, misthrows, dropped passes, and a would-be pick-six was dropped by linebacker Dylan Cole. You aren’t beating a team like the Patriots with all those issues.

On defense, the Titans allowed countless big gains and couldn’t defend the screen. It also didn’t help that the Pats were gifted great field position on multiple occasions thanks to penalties and turnovers.

With the loss, the Titans fall to 8-4 on the season and are knocked off their perch atop the AFC. Let’s take a deeper dive into the numbers to see what exactly went wrong in Week 12.
