Titans LB Jayon Brown says he’s already picking Cameron Wake’s brain

At 37-years-old, former Miami Dolphins linebacker is the oldest player the Tennessee Titans have on the roster.

While he’ll provide a valuable element of experience on the field, his veteran abilities will also serve his younger teammates well.

Fellow linebacker Jayon Brown – who is over a decade younger than Wake – says he’s already taking advantage of what his new teammate has to offer.

“I’ve picked his brain already,” Brown said in a report by the team’s Jim Wyatt.

While Brown is only entering his third NFL season and is still looking to truly make a name for himself, he wants to play as long as possible.

With 10 seasons under his belt, there’s hardly a better player to ask about career longevity than Wake.

“We talked for a while after one of our workouts the other day, and he gave me some great advice,” Brown said. “I asked him how he’s stayed healthy for this long, and how he keeps it going this long into his career. I asked him what he eats, and what he does to look the way he looks. He’s given me advice on how to commit to the game. He told me when you commit to the game, it can bring great things to you.”

Brown – who recorded 97 tackles, six sacks, six pass break-ups, one interception and one touchdown last year – will look to become an even more important player in Dean Pees’ defense in the upcoming season.
