Titans’ Jurrell Casey is PFF’s highest graded AFC South interior defensive lineman

Tennessee Titans defensive lineman, Jurrell Casey, may be the most valuable asset his team currently has.

Casey was extremely effective on the interior line in 2018, earning his place as the highest-graded at his position in the AFC South. Pro Football Focus took to Twitter with the information on Tuesday.

Casey was far and away the best in the division with an overall grade of 87.1. The Jaguars’ Marcell Dareus ranked second behind him, but it wasn’t even close as Dareus trailed behind with a grade of 80.9.

The Texans’ Christian Covington (76.8), D.J. Reader (76.1), and the Colts’ Margus Hunt (76.5), also made the list.

Casey seems to have a chip on his shoulder, and quoted the tweet.

Casey finished the year with 62 tackles, 7.0 sacks and two forced fumbles. On his career, he’s recorded 449 tackles, 46 sacks, seven forced fumbles and 13 passes defensed.

Expect the veteran to be a force once more as the Titans prepare for the upcoming 2019 NFL season.
