Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck has dominated many teams throughout his career but none more so than the Tennessee Titans over the past seven seasons.
Luck’s shiny 11-0 career record against the Titans is an NFL record for most wins without a loss against one team in a career. A player that has been witnessing it from the losing end since Luck entered the league in 2012 is Titans defensive tackle Jurrell Casey.
The former third-round pick has lost to Luck so many times he considers the the latter as his quarterback nemesis.
“[The] biggest guy is Andrew Luck,” Casey told Kristine Leahy of FOX Sports. “At the end of the season, that one kind of hit me the hardest knowing I was going against him, knowing we’re fighting for everything and I couldn’t go out there and play him one more time.”
One of the best pass-rushing defensive tackles in the NFL, Casey wasn’t able to suit up for the regular-season finale between the Colts and Titans. The game’s winner went onto the playoffs while the loser went home.
Indy wound up winning in a dominant fashion to secure the final AFC wild-card spot. Because Casey couldn’t suit up, he’s looking for some revenge in 2019.
“At the end of the day, we’re getting ready for him next season,” Casey said. “We’ve got him two times next year, and it’s definitely going to be a good fight. They’re getting better and we’re getting better.”
As division opponents, the Colts and Titans will face off twice in 2019 where Luck will look to continue being a thorn in the latter’s side as he has been throughout his career.
