Titans hosted Houston Christian EDGE Jalyx Hunt on pre-draft visit

The Tennessee Titans are doing their homework on edge rushers ahead of the 2024 NFL draft, with the team reportedly bringing in Houston Christian edge rusher, Jalyx Hunt.

The news comes from Aaron Wilson of Click2Houston.com, who adds that Hunt has also visited the Houston Texans, New England Patriots, Denver Broncos and Jacksonville Jaguars.

Here’s more on Hunt, per Lance Zierlein of NFL.com:

Hunt is a small-school edge defender possessing notable athletic traits and the potential to get bigger and stronger. He currently lacks the lower-body anchor and general play strength to go up against NFL opponents, but the team drafting him is likely to view him as a developmental prospect in need of time to build his frame and his game. Hunt’s speed is obvious as a pass rusher and in run pursuit, but proving he can survive against a downhill running attack could be the difference between challenging for a rotational role or hoping to become a designated pass rusher.

The 6-foot-4, 252-pound edge rusher figures to be on the board when the Titans have their first pick on Day 3.

Tennessee could use more help on the edge after the departure of Denico Autry in free agency, and with the team not having much behind Harold Landry and Arden Key.
