Titans ‘hopeful’ Adoree’ Jackson, Isaiah Wilson can practice this week

Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel didn’t go into specifics, but he did say he was ‘hopeful’ that cornerback Adoree’ Jackson and 2020 first-round pick, offensive lineman Isaiah Wilson, can return to practice this week.

Jackson was placed on injured reserve prior to the Week 1 game thanks to a knee injury. Wilson has been on the Reserve/COVID-19 list since September 6, his second stint.

“We’re hopeful that they can maybe practice. We’ll see where they’re at,” Vrabel said, according to Erik Bacharach of the Tennessean. “Hopefully those are two good candidates that can get back to practice.”

The last we heard about Jackson was a report from Terry McCormick of Titan Insider, who said he was hearing the Titans’ No. 1 corner could be out another two to four weeks.

That would be horrible news for Tennessee’s defense, which has struggled in both facets to start the season and desperately needs Jackson back as soon as possible.

Wilson’s return isn’t as pressing. Barring something unforeseen, he’s going to play a reserve role for the Titans in 2020, with Dennis Kelly playing well at right tackle and Ty Sambrailo being the first tackle off the bench.

Along with Jackson, another big name we’ll be keeping an eye on is wide receiver A.J. Brown, who has missed the last two games. The last we heard, Brown’s bone bruise on his knee wasn’t responding well to treatment and it looks like he’s on track to miss another game.
