Titans HC Mike Vrabel’s message to angry Browns fan: ‘don’t waste beer’

Cleveland Browns fans were hoping to see their team live up to the hype as they played their opening game at home against the Tennessee Titans.

Instead, they were rocked with a 43-13 loss and saw a total of 18 penalties as Cleveland just continued to set themselves backward.

One fan was so frustrated he doused beer on a host of Titans players after cornerback Malcolm Butler returned an interception for a touchdown to put the last points of the game on the scoreboard for Tennessee.

Cornerback Logan Ryan was infuriated after it happened, and took to Twitter on Monday with his reaction.

“They can pour beer on us because we’re just athletes right? We’re just entertainment & since they purchased a ticket they can act how they want?”

Coach Mike Vrabel – who didn’t see what the cameras picked up – was a bit more lighthearted in his response to the incident.

“It’s the first I’ve heard of it,” Vrabel said in Monday’s presser. “But I would tell ‘em not to waste beer – that’s a bad thing to do.”

Bud Light also offered their response to the ordeal on social media.

“PSA: this is not how you do a #BudLightCelly. Don’t be this guy.”

We’ll hope there’s better behavior in the Dawg Pound when the Browns play the next home game on Sept. 22 against the Los Angeles Rams.
