Titans HC Mike Vrabel believes Patriots are successful because they ‘don’t get caught up in the noise’

It’s no secret the New England Patriots are one of the most successful teams in the NFL, and they’re headed to Super Bowl LIII because of it.

Obviously, there are a lot of factors that go into the team’s triumphs. According to Titans head coach Mike Vrabel, one of them is the fact they focus on each week of the schedule separately, and don’t let what’s going on around them be a distraction.

“I think they treat each week separately, and they don’t get caught up in the noise around them,” he said. “They have a great coaching, leadership. They have phenomenal player leadership. And I think Bill (Belichick) does a phenomenal job of improving his football team as the season goes along.”

Having a quarterback with abilities Tom Brady possesses plays a role as well.

“He’s an unbelievable competitor,” Vrabel said of his former teammate. “I always come to expect it, because I have been in the locker room with him, and he’s a friend. His competitive level, his preparation, how hard he’s worked, it’s why he’s had so much success.”

If New England is able to pull off the victory in Atlanta on Sunday, the Patriots will have secured their sixth Super Bowl victory to date, tying the Steelers (six) for the most in  history.

It would also make for the Patriots’ 37th postseason win, which would top the Steelers’ all-time record.

The Patriots and Rams are set to kick off at 5:30 p.m. CT on Sunday in Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
