Titans go OT, TE, WR in Chad Reuter’s 4-round mock draft

In his recent four-round mock draft, Chad Reuter of NFL.com has the Tennessee Titans addressing some major needs in the 2023 NFL draft.

Reuter has the Titans taking offensive tackle Peter Skoronski in Round 1, tight end Darnell Washington in Round 2 and wide receiver Jonathan Mingo in Round 3. Of course, Tennessee doesn’t have a fourth-round selection.

Here’s what Reuter said about the pick of Skoronski:

Skoronski could compete for the left tackle job, but he also has the strength, mobility and intelligence to slide in at guard (replacing Nate Davis) or center (replacing Ben Jones).

I’m not often a fan of Reuter’s mocks, but this one is pretty good.

Skoronski offers a possible long-term solution at left tackle, but he could also fill the void at left guard if the Titans want to roll with Andre Dillard there in 2023. That said, I’d prefer Paris Johnson, who was still on the board in this mock.

Washington is an absolute unit at 6-foot-7 and 264 pounds and would be a good fit as the No. 2 tight end. His size is a tough assignment for defenses, especially in the red zone, and has the tools to be a good blocker. Further, Washington would allow Tennessee to utilize Chig from different spots.

Mingo is another good selection as a physical receiver who can work inside and out. He also adds some speed, as evidenced by his 4.46 40.

While I like the players chosen overall, I’d prefer Tennessee address wide receiver earlier than this. However, taking a tight end like Washington in that spot would be a solid consolation prize.
